This web site uses Tiki CMS/Groupware, also known as TikiWiki, to store and display content. Tiki is a powerful, Open Source, web-based Groupware and Content Management System (CMS). It can be used to create all sorts of Web applications, sites, portals, intranets and extranets. Tiki is developed by a large number of contributors that form the TikiWiki community.

Tiki, in turn, makes use of the following:

PHP scripting language. PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development.

MySQL "The MySQL database server is the world's most popular open source database. Over six million installations use MySQL to power high-volume Web sites and other critical business systems."

ADOBdb database abstraction library

Smarty Template Engine "Smarty is a template engine for PHP. More specifically, it facilitates a managable way to separate application logic and content from its presentation."

RDF "The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is an infrastructure that enables the encoding, exchange and reuse of structured metadata." Newsfeeds (RSS) are made possible by RDF.

Hawhaw "HAWHAW stands for HTML and WML hybrid adapted Webserver and is a toolkit to create universal mobile applications." Hawhaw enables this web site to be accessible by cell phones, PDAs and other mobile devices.

PHPLayers "PHP Layers Menu is a hierarchical menu system to prepare "on the fly" DHTML menus relying on the PHP scripting engine for the processing of data items."

phpMyAdmin MySQL database administration tool. phpMyAdmin is an essential tool for any Web site that uses MySQL and PHP.
