Coelesce, search field problem

(I tried to post this to the bug tracker on themes.tiki.org, but I couldn't make a new post even after logging in.)

In the Coelesce theme, The search module has problems when placed in the left sidebar. This worked in version 9.0, problem is in 10.2. I don't know about versions in between. Verified on demo site.

1. The text entry field is not visible until clicked on. Also, it doesn't look like the one in the search_wiki_page module.

2. The advanced search label and check box, the search help label and button, and the Go button, are positioned to the right of the text entry field and are therefore pushed out over the page content. They should be under the text entry field. This can be fixed by changing line 370 of the coelesce.css file. This line currently says "white-space: nowrap;" Change "nowrap" to "normal". I don't know what this change will do in other situations.

{img fileId="115" thumb="y" rel="box[g]"}

I also noticed that the html is very different between this module and the search_wiki_page module. I would think they should be more similar.

Fivealive Background Color

Hi, sorry if this is a very simple issue, but I am very new to CSS and tikiwiki. Here's my issue.

I'm trying to change the background color of my website (the current theme is fivealive). I only want the backgrounds of the left and right side of the main central body to be grey, and I want to change the background color of the top as well.

Can any help me out with a link or some simple instructions?

Thank you very much.

Help me fix my header in Fivealive on 8.3

I started experimenting with tiki at 4.x and I am currently running 8.3. I somehow messed up the header and now the login button has no space above it and is cut off by the top of the browser.

I did not modify any templates or CSS so all the changes were made by some settings. I am using Fivealive for my theme. The issue persisted through the last couple of upgrades so I know it is something in the database that needs to be changed.

You can see the problem [http://tiki.a2host.us|here]

Darkroom and Phplayers menu in IE7, wrong placement

Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. First, I'm really new at web development. I am a programmer but I'm used to c++/c# and actionscript... I'm not sure what I'm looking for in this case.

Now, on to my specific problem. I'm using tikiwiki 2.4 and the darkroom theme. I like the look of the menu bar visually breaking up the header from the page, but in IE7 this doesn't work as expected. The phplayers menu shows up at the very top of the page, behind the site logo. You can even see this by checking out this page using the darkroom theme and ie7.

I'd like to preserve cross-browser compatability if at all possible, and I really like this theme. Any one know what might be the problem? As a side note, it displays correctly in ie8 and firefox.

help! I have broken dropdown phplayers menu in eatlon - need a fix

Hi,

Somehow I've managed to break the dropdown menus on my site. I'm using the eatlon theme in TW 2.1. They used to work but I tried to edit some menu options and css colors and now they don't drop down anymore. I've copied the files from the original eatlon download back onto the server and imported the original menu 42 CSV but still only get the top level.

What have I done?? The menus on this forum work fine so it isn't a browser issue.

--EDIT-- I've tried some other themes and they're broken too. What gives?

CSS Validation Issues

With the new Tiki 2.0 default (tikineat.css) theme, I'm seeing lots of problems:

I can live with the errors caused by the Moizilla-only properties, but the Parsing errors concern me. Any idea what's going on?

tiki theme using tikiwiki 2.0

Hello!

We are moving to the upgraded version of tikiwiki 2.0 (we have been using various versions of tikiwiki 1.10 as we needed the wysiwyg for wikis, so glad 2.0 came out and it looks like it has polished up the bugs out of 1.10 pretty well), and we use the bundled tiki theme...

It appears that the tikiwiki 2.0 doesnt appear to be working right out of the box with tikiwiki 2.0, as the modules dont have the background image in the title bar, as we did before (see attached screen shot).

We also have a little funkiness in the look and feel module whereby it doesnt always want to display properly (small matter).

A closer look showed that when I downloaded tikiwiki 2.0, in the styles directory i do not see the normal tiki folder and tiki.css I see in our 1.10 version....

anybody can shed any light on this? I tried just using the tiki folder and tiki.css from 1.10, but got the no background in the title boxes.....
