Tikipedia visual weirdness on v2.0

Installed RC4 and the updated tikipedia theme. Seems to do this in IE6 and Firefox 2.0.0.16. Is this a local problem? or are there still some things not quite fixed? n00b like me can't figure it out.

Also, the 'login' link is persistently in the top right, even when logged in (doesn't display "logged in as... such and such" like it did for v1.9).

Love the theme.

Try updating with the latest files (tikipedia.tag.gz). That horizontal 1px line was fixed for sure, and probably the tab alignment as well, at least in IE6. Since updating to Firefox 3, I don't test as often in Firefox 2 so am not sure of the situation there, but will check.

Yes, I was trying to reduce the number of custom files in this version of the theme, but maybe went too far by just putting a login link at the page top. I'll look into having it reflect login status.

I just updated the file so that the logged-in status is reflected. Also for anonymous visitors, the "Register" link appears if that preference is activated. Get the latest Tikipedia files for this update (only the tiki-site_header.tpl file is changed for this).

I just did a fresh 2.0 install and tried to install the Tikipedia theme.
That is how it looks like (see attached screenshot)- I don't havy any clue why it looks so weired.
I just copied over the themse files to the qccordin directories. I guess it is some settting I am missing here.

Any help is appreciated.

Be sure to clear your caches, using Exterminator on tiki-admin_system.php. From the screenshot, it looks like there's a mix of template files being used.

To double-check, I went through the process of downloading the Tikipedia files and installing them on a Tiki 2.0 site, and they appear to work correctly.

I've experienced the horizontal line at the rop of the page with tiki 2.0 and the 18-Sep-08 version of Tikipedia. It sometimes appears when the Top Bar box is checked in the Look and Feel section.

I just noticed and fixed one horizontal line that was appearing when the "use transitional stylesheet" option is activated. I'm not sure if this is the same one you see, but you could try installing the latest tikipedia.css (available here if you don't already have it) to see if that solves the problem.

I have the 18 Sep version. Not sure if its the latest as http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/mods/trunk/themes/tikipedia/theme/styles/tikipedia.css?revision=14857 is currently down.

The horizontal line is absent when using the "Never use transition css" or the next option, but returns if using the "Use@versin:xx specified in theme css or 1.8/1.9 if not specified" options.

A (possibly) linked problem now is that the tabs don't align properly at the top of the page, see attached image.
This happens in Firefox3. In IE6, they are vertically aligned ok but each is a complete box, ie the bottom border for the tab still shows, which it didn't when using the Tiki 1.9 tikipedia theme.

Here's a link to the current version of the file: tikipedia.css. I generally have been doing the themes with "never use transition css" turned on, so didn't notice when the theme needed to override something the transition style sheet added. I'll be checking that more carefully in the future, not assuming that people will know the transition stylesheet isn't needed with the themes I do (I try to keep them up-to-date, including what's actually needed from the transition css).

Check that your browser's text size setting is normal. I noticed that increasing the text size (control + + in Firefox) will expand the tabs accordingly, causing them to no longer align as in the normal state. Maybe I should take the bottom border off the tabs to be consistent with the 1.9 behavior.
